Ceramics created for the place: Boca Pez
Serving tableware developed specially for a seafood restaurant: author's platters and plates, handmade, designed for the staging of the produce. A bespoke collection format for venues and private clients.

The idea
Boca Pez is a seafood restaurant, and its produce called for tableware to match. I developed a collection of serving pieces — long platters, plates with relief — created specifically for them, so the seafood reached the table as part of a scene, not on any catalogue piece.
Each piece is hand-modelled and painted, with food-safe ceramic materials. Form follows function — surfaces for sharing, reliefs that hold the produce — without giving up the authored character.
It is the best example of my “bespoke collection” format: developing and making a full tableware series for a restaurant, a hotel or a home, tied to the client's cuisine and identity.
